NUOVA PRESENTS TIME TRAVEL, 1971 AT DESIGN MIAMI.: A JOURNEY BACK IN TIME
Los Angeles-based luxury design group NUOVA proudly announces the U.S. debut of Time Travel, 1971 at Design Miami.2024, following its successful premiere at Milan Design Week 2024. The installation, which earlier this year introduced a time travel portal to 1971, will offer visitors of the international collectible design fair an experiential journey once again. Part exhibition, part performance, Time Travel, 1971 features a range of carefully designed elements, including furniture, lighting, bespoke garments, fragrance, music, gastronomy, and theater. Together, these components embody NUOVA’s vision of design: a holistic approach that blends luxury, master craftsmanship and multi-sensory stimuli, through a comprehensive experience.

Visitors step through a minimal aluminum sliding door and textured stucco facade, entering an immersive environment where a rich yellow palette dominates. Dark, wood walls and a plush carpet from Besana Carpet Lab envelope NUOVA’s furniture collection, crafting a meticulously curated space that captures the enduring allure of 1970s Americana.
Touching each of the five senses —vision, hearing, touch, smell, taste— NUOVA’s design transports visitors into a quintessential 1971 American living room.
